Of course I hear voices, doesn't everyone? What, you think I'm crazy? :)
Okay, I exaggerate. What really happens is that when I meditate, or some nights just before I fall asleep and I'm in a hypnogogic state, I hear, hmm .... not voices, but something more like sentences or thought fragments. Here are a few recent examples:
- I hear a man's voice saying something like "Call Bob in the morning", clearly a reminder to himself. Problem is, I don't know anyone named Bob.
- I hear a man say something to another man like "Come in please, and close the door". While the man is trying to be friendly there is a clear sense that someone is going to be shot.
- A woman says something like "I'm sorry, please forgive me".
In each case the feeling is so strong it breaks me out of my meditation or early sleep pattern. I'm trying to learn to control myself when these happen, but so far I've had no luck.
