Having the shakes in the morning after meditation and chanting

January 13, 2012

Phew, I meditated and chanted so hard and long last night, I ended up dreaming an entirely different life overnight, one of those long dreams that seems to be many times longer than the actual time you slept, in this case several days of leading another life. As I write this, it's now more than one hour after I woke up from those dreams, and my body and hands are still shaking from the experience.

That being said, it's important to continue down this road. I think I found some chants last night that really fit my mentality, and I think the effect of those chants on my brain are what's really causing me to shake this morning. (Yes, having the shakes like this is disconcerting ... that's all I have time to say right now.)

However, now that it is daytime again, I must lead my "normal" life, and in order to do that, I'm just asking myself to pay attention to the present moment, and not think any harder than that. Just pay attention, and do what needs to be done during the day, and resume the chanting and meditation tonight.
