Couldn't remember my dreams this morning

March 26, 2012

Dreams this morning were very unusual, even for me. After listening to Monroe Institute recordings for probably 2-3 hours last night while watching a movie, I went to sleep with the intention of trying to remember some things from my childhood. That didn't work out too well, but I did have a very funny dream of a Mary Tyler Moore episode that of course never really happened. But that was before 3:30am.

At 3:30, I heard some noises, woke up, and looked around to see what the noises were. When I went back to sleep, I dreamt very actively from then until after 8am. The dreams were fun, funny, entertaining, and when I woke up, I couldn't remember a thing about them.

As the dreams went on, I could remember each one, and I kept saying the same thing to myself, reminding myself to remember them when I woke up. But when I woke up, I couldn't remember a thing. If you've read any of my previous posts here, you know that's very unusual for me. I don't suffer the "amnesia" related to dreams that other people seem to. The only things I could remember was that the dreams were fun.
