The Life of the Revolution

October 1, 2012

While I've generally been dealing with health (stomach) issues for the last week or two (and therefore have had no success with OBEs or past life regressions), this morning I at least had very clear dreams. They weren't lucid dreams, but very clear, memorable dreams.

In one of the last dreams I helped create a new song with Axl Rose titled, "The Life of the Revolution", or perhaps just "Life of the Revolution". (Think Che Guevara ... "Viva la Revolucion"). Every time I have a dream of music like this, I wish I knew how to write it down so I could share it. I usually end up singing a little bit into my recorder, and if you've ever heard me sing, you know nobody's going to want to hear that.

(I had been riding a bicycle in the rain, with a ball cap on and the rain running hard off the front of the cap. I crossed a road, tried to avoid some downed trees, and in the next moment I was in the studio with Axl.)

Love dreams

Long before the work with Axl Rose, the evening started with "love dreams". They began something like this with a married woman named "J". I was laying on a couch, and she had just walked in the room, and was standing behind the couch.

J: "Don't you like me?"

Me, sitting up: "What do you mean?"

"You act like you don't like me, and I care about you", she said, looking hurt.

"J", I said, pausing ... "I'm trying not to hurt people", I said, looking down, away from her.

"So you do like me?"

"J, don't you know?", I said, walking around the couch, taking her hands in mine, and looking in her eyes. "I love you. I've always loved you."

Happily these dreams continued on and off throughout the night.

Person morphing

I mentioned that these dreams weren't lucid, but I had enough awareness at one point to notice that a person in a dream morphed from one person into another. We were walking towards each other in something like the lobby of a large hotel, and as the person approached me, they morphed from whatever they were into my best friend. I instantly became lucid enough to think, "That's wrong, this must be a dream", but I couldn't hold that state for very long.

Notes

When I woke up during the middle of the night, I heard it gently raining outside, and I wondered if vivid dreams, lucid dreams, and OBEs might be related to that sort of weather. I've never tracked the weather compared to OBEs, but it would certainly help to explain why 2007 was such an active year for me.
