Knock, knock, let me in

January 27, 2014

I had a hard time falling asleep last night, but after a long wait, I finally started to drift off. I began to have a dream while I was still slightly awake, and found myself in the treadmill aisle of a sports store. I was looking at treadmills and laughing with a friend when I realized something was going on with my physical body. The sensations in my right arm and the right side of my back told me someone or some thing was trying to get into my physical body.

At first I found this humorous, in part because the dream had put me in a good, playful mood. I could tell that someone/something was trying to get into my body, but I let them keep trying because I thought it was funny. But as I had to fight them off harder, I began to wake up, and my humor quickly turned to irritation and concern. What was this thing trying to get into my body?

I fought it off, and not thinking much of it, I let myself drift off again. Almost instantly this thing began trying harder to get into my body. This time it took a very significant effort to fight this thing off. To be clear, I was fighting mentally with this thing, with only minor physical efforts. It was a psychic battle to keep control of my own body.

After I finally fought this thing off a second time I decided to get up and walk around for a while. I did this, then laid down again, and slowly drifted off to sleep once more. Fortunately the rest of the evening was uneventful.

What was this thing trying to get into my body? I have no idea. There was no communication with it. The feeling was just that my “psychic energy” was leaving my body, or only loosely attached to my body, and this thing was attempting to get into the body. I fought with it on some psychic/mental level, playfully at first, and then more out of fear that this thing was quite serious and persistent in its attempt to get in.
