"The Mindful Geek"

February 15, 2015

A man by the name of Michael Taft has this Indiegogo project to help him raise money for a book he’s writing that’s titled, The Mindful Geek:

About the book

Here’s what the book is about, in his own words:

“Called The Mindful Geek, this book details how to derive the benefits of mindfulness meditation without having to join a religion or drink anyone’s metaphysical Kool-Aid. In the book, I give you step-by-step instructions in the powerful and reliable techniques of mindfulness meditation, and outline the psychological and neuroscientific research underpinning these practices — all without you having to believe in reincarnation, karma, or other sacred cows.

My motto for the book is simple: You shouldn't have to join a religion to get the benefits of meditation.”

If that sounds interesting, consider supporting his Indiegogo project to help fund the book’s development. (As I write this he’s actually reached his $8,000 goal, but he’s now shooting for a “stretch goal” of $9,000 to add more to the book, and to create another online video.)
