Cool bodily sensations
A very cool thing I've never mentioned about the vibrations and OBE's is what a terrific feeling there is after the event is over. Now that I'm more or less over the fear, there is a tremendous calming effect on my brain. I can lay there afterwards without a thought at all in my mind. Some times I wil just think, "Echo", just to see if an echo comes back to me, but it doesn't, it's just absolute stillness.
December, 1986
It's December, 1986, and I'm graduating from A&M with a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering. My graduating class consists of 33 students, only 11 of whom have jobs. The other 22 of us weren't quite so lucky. Despite a 3.8 GPA over the last four semesters, paying all my college bills myself, and holding a variety of jobs, including working as a bartender for the last 18 months, I'm unemployable in the aerospace industry.
Fall, 1984
I'm married now, and living in Texas. School here at Texas A&M has been very easy for me, so while my wife is working -- remodeling a store out of town -- I'm hanging out with her, living here in her hotel for a little while. School is such a yawner I'll catch up with whatever I miss when I get back.
Fall, 1979
It is now the fall of 1979, and I've spent a lot of time in the local libraries. I've also spent a lot of time in bookstores, particularly the "weird" section of bookstores, you know that part -- it's in the back of the stores where all the weirdos hang out, and where the signs say things like "New Age", and "Astral Projection".
Spring, 1979
It's the spring of 1979. I'm 16 years old, and an event occurs that changes my life forever. Laying in bed one night I'm trying to fall asleep, but not having much success. As I lay there, with my body relaxing more and more, I begin to think of a girl at school that I like a lot, a girl named Sharon. Laying in bed, I begin to think of where her house might be in relationship to my house, and I realize that if I were to draw a line directly from my toes through the top of my head as I lay there in bed, her house would be almost exactly in that direction.
