Lucid dream of an astral event ... and a ghost

(I'm going to try to describe what just happened, but frankly, this was a little unusual, even for me, so I'll just see if I can report this experience as it happened.)

I gained consciousness during a dream state, and found myself laying in a bed. I didn't know where I was, but the bed was set up so that my head and upper torso were propped up, such as in a bed whose top half could be raised, or perhaps my upper body had some pillows propped underneath it.

Stuck in the simulator

Wow, something different every day ... I just took an afternap nap, and when I "woke up", I thought I heard a noise, like maybe someone knocking on the front door. As I tried to get up, I was having some problems with the sheets. As I fought with them, I thought I heard a knocking again, and I thought, "C'mon Al, get out of bed and see what's going on", and I struggled some more. I've been sick lately, and a little weak, so I thought maybe I was having a weakness problem.

Notes from another world (lucid dream?)

Unable to "wake up" today after a long night of work, I finally decided to take an afternoon nap. After a short nap I felt a little better, but decided to see if I could lay down again and see if I could stay on the borderline of sleep and wakefulness.

Well, that didn't work, but I did get "wake up" within the dream "somewhere else". As usual, I wake up within the dream, and there are things going on around me, and I have to figure out what's going on.

Lucid dream, Follow Me, family across a divide

In the closest thing I've had to an OBE in a while, later tonight I need to make a number of updates to my devdaily.com website, so I decided to take an afternoon nap. When I laid down, I decided to listen to one of the Monroe recordings I have, and I listened to it until I fell asleep.

Dream (nightmare) of a serial killer

Geez, I don't know where dreams come from, but times like this morning, I wish they'd stop.

Okay, okay, I've already received two emails about this post, so to emphasize the point even more: THE FOLLOWING POST IS ABOUT A DREAM I HAD THIS MORNING, AND IT'S VERY GRAPHIC AND DISTURBING. It made me want to throw up, and I had to live through it last night. Please don't read any more if you can't stomach it. You already saw the title, maybe that's all you need to know.

Dream of owning a small restaurant

This morning I followed the same "wake up early, and go back to sleep" plan that I've been on for the last few days. This morning I had a dream (which turned out to be a continuation of one or more previous dreams) where I own a small restaurant.

Dream of the death of a friend

I woke up at 3:06 a.m., crying in my sleep as I dreamed about the death of a friend. There are times you think you can handle anything, and mentally you're doing just great, but I was bawling my eyes out, and nearly hyperventilating from the effort.

It's hard to go back to sleep after something like that, but I eventually did. The dreams the rest of the night weren't any worse, but they weren't pleasant, either.

Do Zen Masters dream?

I just woke up from a typical dream: I was in a grocery store; saw some high prices; decided to take a picture of the high prices to share with my friends on Facebook; a touchscreen monitor suddenly appeared, already logged into Facebook; I saw a store security camera; I touched the screen, and something went wrong, but it gave me a good idea.

Then I woke up, and immediately wondered, "What would it be like to be a Zen Master, who has no attachments to ideas like these?"

Another dream of a song

Quick note: Another wonderful song in the dreams this morning. Sorry, I was too lazy to record it, but it was a really terrific pop/love song by a female artist I don't know. I was humming it during a bathroom break during the middle of the night, and assumed I'd remember it in the morning, but of course I didn't, lol.

Split-screen dream!

I'm not feeling very well at the moment, but I wanted to note that this afternoon was the first time I ever had a "split screen" dream. It was a very vivid dream, and I was seeing two stories at once, one on the left, and another on the right. I couldn't focus on both at the same time, but I could move my attention from one to the other. This has never happened before, and it was bizarre, and amazing.
