More words in dreams that have meaning

For the second or third time that I can recall, I've thought of a word in a dream that I didn't know, which ended up being a real world, and is related medical condition I have. In this case the medical phrase is "hiatal hernia", and on Monday I learned that this is another problem in my digestive system.

Lucid dream of an astral event ... and a ghost

(I'm going to try to describe what just happened, but frankly, this was a little unusual, even for me, so I'll just see if I can report this experience as it happened.)

I gained consciousness during a dream state, and found myself laying in a bed. I didn't know where I was, but the bed was set up so that my head and upper torso were propped up, such as in a bed whose top half could be raised, or perhaps my upper body had some pillows propped underneath it.

Stuck in the simulator

Wow, something different every day ... I just took an afternap nap, and when I "woke up", I thought I heard a noise, like maybe someone knocking on the front door. As I tried to get up, I was having some problems with the sheets. As I fought with them, I thought I heard a knocking again, and I thought, "C'mon Al, get out of bed and see what's going on", and I struggled some more. I've been sick lately, and a little weak, so I thought maybe I was having a weakness problem.

Notes from another world (lucid dream?)

Unable to "wake up" today after a long night of work, I finally decided to take an afternoon nap. After a short nap I felt a little better, but decided to see if I could lay down again and see if I could stay on the borderline of sleep and wakefulness.

Well, that didn't work, but I did get "wake up" within the dream "somewhere else". As usual, I wake up within the dream, and there are things going on around me, and I have to figure out what's going on.

Faux OBE

Early this morning, just before 2am local time, I finally had something close to an OBE, my first real event since moving to Alaska. However, I call it a "Faux OBE", because it was a mix of an OBE and a lucid dream. I was floating around the ceiling like it was an OBE, but everything else about it was more like a lucid dream.

OBE / lucid dream notes

Here's how this "Faux OBE" event happened:

Dream of flying on a small jet airplane

A long dream to end this morning's sleep period ... many people I know, or have known, are boarding a small jet aircraft (like a Lear jet) to take a ride to, well, I don't know where. Everyone is supposed to get seated, and there are folding chairs, some people sitting in a three-stall bathroom, and I end up sitting with some other people in something like the back seat of a car. We're supposed to balance out the weight in the plane, so there's a lot of discussion about that.

The Reincarnationist, dreams of the future, and a killer

As I've been reading a book lately named The Reincarnationist, I was reminded of the many similar dreams and episodes I've had of past lives. I wrote recently about an alternate universe, and I've also had many dreams from different eras, including ancient Greece.

Alternate universes

There are days when I have lucid dreams that I can easily believe there are alternate universes. Today is one of those days.

I've been sick lately, with the stomach flu or something like it, so I took off from work most of the day yesterday and again today. Around noon today I laid down, and very soon found myself in another world, a world I know, and actually feel comfortable in.

Lucid dream, Follow Me, family across a divide

In the closest thing I've had to an OBE in a while, later tonight I need to make a number of updates to my devdaily.com website, so I decided to take an afternoon nap. When I laid down, I decided to listen to one of the Monroe recordings I have, and I listened to it until I fell asleep.

Dream (nightmare) of a serial killer

Geez, I don't know where dreams come from, but times like this morning, I wish they'd stop.

Okay, okay, I've already received two emails about this post, so to emphasize the point even more: THE FOLLOWING POST IS ABOUT A DREAM I HAD THIS MORNING, AND IT'S VERY GRAPHIC AND DISTURBING. It made me want to throw up, and I had to live through it last night. Please don't read any more if you can't stomach it. You already saw the title, maybe that's all you need to know.
