Yoga, the natural way to lose weight
I’ve been getting back into yoga since the new year’s break, and this morning I just did my first side plank pose in my yoga practice. I didn’t go all the way up with my off leg, and I’m also glad to report that no one got hurt. :)
One of the things I really like about yoga — and I had forgotten about — was that it naturally seems to help reduce my appetite, which of course helps me lose weight. There may be things happening in more subtle areas of the mind, but there’s one very obvious thought pattern here: I find myself thinking (a) I don’t want to eat a bunch of garbage because I need strength and endurance, and (b) I don’t want to eat a lot, because then later on I’ll need to hold a plank pose or a hand stand, and in both of those situations, the less weight I need to bear, the better. :)
