Hours of lucid dreams

November 8, 2012

I didn't sleep much last night, but when I did, it was almost entirely lucid dreams, from about 3:30am until 6:20am. I remember reading some time back that someone claimed they could have OBEs all night, and I wondered how realistic that was. But I suppose that if I can do this for almost three hours, a younger, healthier person might be able to do it for longer. It certainly didn't take any effort on my part.

The lucid part started almost immediately after I laid down. In fact, it started so fast that I thought I was still awake. But then I checked my hands and realized the finger count was wrong, and knew I was dreaming. Nonetheless, with nothing else to do at that time, I tried the usual PK things, moving the furniture around in my dream.

Somehow this morphed into me having a large number of dogs and cats, and I played with them for quite some time in an unusual setting I can't recall now.

Later I was joined by a few other people in a different environment. I don't remember why, but I decided to start flying, and did this for quite a while as well, though I stayed low because the higher altitudes were making me sick.

When I flew back down, I gave my secret "passphrase" to my friends. I told them that they should try to remember the phrase when they woke up, and if they did, they should send me an email message with the phrase. (So far I haven't received any email.)

While I was as lucid as can be in the dreams, I didn't remember to ask them my new question, "Why are you here?" I'll try to remember that in the future.

There was more to the dreams than this, but I don't want to bore you with the details. They didn't seem bad in any way, just some play time with my friends.

The sequence ended in a humorous way. I was told the dreams had to stop, and the dream holodeck was shut down. I asked why they had to stop, and then my alarm clock went off. I know the alarm clock started at just that moment because I have it play a song, and the first notes of the song were just playing. (So I know it wasn't playing when I was told the dreams had to stop.)
