Auntie M

January 30, 2013

I had another crazy dream last night featuring someone I haven't seen since the 1970s, and never knew very well. We always referred to her as Aunt Mary, but I don't know how I'm related to her, other than knowing that she's on my mother's side of the family, and she was always nice to me. (I feel like I have to mention that because my maternal grandmother and my mother's sister weren't always very nice.) So the dream involved her, and I woke up thinking the usual "What the heck was that about?"

Today I received an email from one of my sisters to tell me that there's a celebration of Aunt Mary's 100th birthday tomorrow. There was some other stuff in the email, including some emotional stuff about another relative, but the crux of the email was about this celebration.

The reason I mention the emotion is from a theory from another book ... I can't remember the name of the book right now, but it was something about Time, and it was printed back in the 1920s or 1930s. The author was going through a similar thing to what I have experienced, so he did some tests, and one of the theories he created based on his tests was that future events with strong emotions tended to show up in his dreams. Well, it's a theory.

I don't really know Aunt Mary, but I know my mom likes her, so, Happy Birthday, Auntie M.
