A different perspective

April 15, 2013

I watched a show this weekend where they mentioned that astronauts who go into outer space are changed forever. They've seen the world from a different perspective, and their view on life and the world has changed, forever.

The same thing happens to people who have a near-death experience. They've had a unique human experience, one that won't happen to most people on Earth, and they've lived to tell about it. Whether what they experienced is real, who knows, there's no way to confirm it. But their lives are also changed forever.

As a result of having hundreds of OBEs, precognitive experiences, lucid dreams, etc., I feel the same way. I don't see the world the same way 99.99% of other people see it (or maybe 99.999 or 99.9999%), but that doesn't make me wrong, and it doesn't make the other 99.99% right. The fact is, I feel like I'm living in the future, doing what may be commonplace 100 or 1,000 or 10,000 years from now.
